What used to be a major shipping warehouse and wharf has found a new purpose in post-industrial London, regenerated into a complex of luxury apartments and establishments a stone’s throw away from the heart of the Square Mile. Traces of this heritage are used to anchor the design of this space.
The dark timber beams and restored brick wall take centre stage, with furniture and art chosen as harmonious accents. The modern elements – flooring, shelving, finishings – are done simply and cleanly, in a lighter hue, almost in deference to the historical main elements.
